This weekend has some great events for you to enjoy.
More than just fireworks are happening this weekend
July 4th weekend may not always be the busiest for live events, but there are certainly cool shows and sporting events to enjoy. Here are just some of my favorites:
Atlantic City, New Jersey
Latino Beach Fest – Saturday, July 5, 2 p.m. – 11 p.m. - Goldfish Beach Club

This is a huge beach club concert for reggaetoneros - Farruko, Zion, Secreto and many others are in one show, hosted by Alex Sensation.
Brooklyn, New York:
New York Liberty vs. Los Angeles Sparks – Thursday, July 3 at 7 p.m. - Barclays Center
New York Liberty vs. Seattle Storm – Sunday, July 6 at 1 p.m. - Barclays Center
Sabrina Ionescu and Breanna Stewart and the Eastern Conference-leading NY Liberty will host Kelsey Plum’s Sparks on Thursday night, and face the Storm squad starring Nneka Ogwumike and Skylar Diggins on Sunday afternoon.
Brooklyn Cyclones vs. Hudson Valley Renegades – Friday, July 4 at 6:40 p.m. - Maimonides Park
Brooklyn Cyclones vs. Hudson Valley Renegades – Saturday, July 5 at 6 p.m. - Maimonides Park
Brooklyn Cyclones vs. Hudson Valley Renegades – Sunday, July 6 at 2 p.m. - Maimonides Park
While the Subway Series takes place in Queens, the Mets single-A team out on Coney Island will host the New York Yankees affiliate from the Hudson Valley this weekend, complete with postgame fireworks both Friday and Saturday night - and a socks giveaway on Sunday!

Wawa Welcome America Concerts + Fireworks – Friday, July 4 - Benjamin Franklin Parkway
This annual free concert and fireworks display, in honor of America’s birthday, headlines North Philly native Jazmine Sullivan and Queens legend LL Cool J.
Tyler, The Creator – Saturday, July 5 at 7:30 p.m. - Wells Fargo Center
Tyler, The Creator – Sunday, July 6 at 7:30 p.m. - Wells Fargo Center
Tyler, The Creator’s “Chromakopia” Tour takes over South Philly for two shows, featuring Lil Yachty and Paris Texas.
Queens, NY
New York Mets vs. Milwaukee Brewers – Thursday, July 3 at 7:10 p.m. - Citi Field
New York Mets vs. New York Yankees – Friday, July 4 at 3:10 p.m. - Citi Field
New York Mets vs. New York Yankees – Saturday, July 5 at 4:10 p.m. - Citi Field
New York Mets vs. New York Yankees – Sunday, July 6 at 1:40 p.m. - Citi Field
It's a big weekend for baseball in The Big Apple. The Subway Series July 4 - 6 sets up an important showdown between two division-leading teams. Plus, fans who attend the game Thursday night will get a Juan Soto replica jersey and post-game fireworks.
Outside of NY/NJ/PA the area:
Wu Tang and Run The Jewels – Friday, July 4 at 7 p.m. - Fiddler’s Green Amphitheater in Greenwood Village, CO
Rocking with the hip hop legends and Killer Mike with legal weed in the air might a perfect night for old school fans.
